Kanye West’s Childhood Home Remains Trashed After Charity Purchase

Almost a year ago, Kanye West’s charity and it’s co-founder rapper Rhymefest, purchased West’s childhood home in the Southside of Chicago and promised to turn it into a community center. At the time West said, ‘My mom spent her life as an educator and I am happy that Donda’s House can pick up her torch and honor her life’s mission” however current photos tell a different story.

The home lies abandoned with trash inside and around it. What was supposed to be a “community arts incubator” for at-risk youths seems to house fireworks and drug paraphernalia. It is unknown why there hasn’t been any action taken but the community is still in need of the facility West intended to create.
