A group of men were arrested in Atlanta after posing as members of the legendary group The Wu-Tang Clan and robbing luxury hotels of thousands of dollars in unpaid bills. The criminal crew ditch The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta without paying a $45,000 tab, and repeated the crime at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, leaving a bill of $39,000. They also rented a Rolls Royce from A-National Limousine for $60,000 which again the business never saw a cent of.
But the group was busted when they went to check into the Fairfield Inn in Augusta after booking reservations under the Staten Island crew name and Roc Nation.
Aaron Barnes-Burpo, 28, and Walker Washington, 51, are charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. The pair organized a group of men and women to pose as members of the Roc Nation production company and the aforementioned rap group to use fake and stolen credit cards to rent luxury services.
