Rumors are swirling that DJ Khaled threw a fit during an Epic Records label meeting because his album didn’t debut at number 1. The “We The Best” producer is normally a pretty positive guy but sources say that when he stormed into Epic, “he was angry and yelling. He threw a temper tantrum.” The label source told Page Six, “He was furious. There was some nasty stuff said. Publicly, he’s all about ‘positivity,’ but there is a mean side to him that people don’t see . . . He overhyped the record and blew it up as his biggest album ever.”
The label put a lot of promo behind DJ Khaled’s album even getting 100,000 digital downloads of Father of Asahd sold with nutritional supplements. Billboard decided not to include those particular sales even though they had originally approved it. Tyler the Creator’s album snuck into that number 1 spot instead and DJ Khaled had some words about that calling his music “mysterious shit.” Check it out below.
