Lil Wayne’s ongoing lawsuit with Birdman, over the release of ‘Tha Carter V’ has finally come to an end. Through the help of his lawyer Howard King, Wayne was paid the $10 million owed to him by Birdman for his advance and finishing the album. In addition, Universal Records stepped up and paid Wayne “well over $10 million” to release the album which you can get on October 28th.
Wayne made the announcement on ESPN showing off the cover art above and saying, “This album means a lot to me. People been waiting on this album and I’m just at the point in my life and stuff to have my mom on there. It’s more than an accomplishment, it’s an achievement.”
Drake and Nicki Minaj are confirmed features on the album.
