LL Cool J has finally won a lawsuit against the concert promoters behind Rock The Bells. The Rick Rubin produced song is a staple in LL’s career and drove his Def Jam debut album to platinum sales. But Guerilla Union, the producers of the Rock The Bells festival, tried several times starting in 2004, to trademark the name without LL’s permission.

A judge has finally ruled in favor of LL saying Guerilla Union must turn over all social media accounts, website domains and any other intellectual property. They are also barred from using the name or any other similar trademarks again.
