Lil Wayne’s long awaited “Tha Carter V” is finally out and it’s an emotional journey. The album starts out with a moving message from Wayne’s mother talking about how proud she is of him. She also appears later on in the track “Open Letter.” The album then goes into the first feature with the late XXXtentacion. Other features include Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar and his baby’s mother Nivea.  On the final track “Let is All Work Out” he addresses an attempted suicide.

The album is nothing short of a masterpiece in true Tunchi style that, like Jay Z’s “4:44,” shows the growth of hip hop.
