Travis Scott Sued By Three 6 Mafia For Stealing Their Track
DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia has filed a lawsuit against Travis Scott for sampling a hook from their track “Tear Da Club Up” for his “No Bystanders,” without their permission. In court documents, Paul says Scott’s song has “a very distinctive chant of: ‘f**k da club up; f**k da club up,’ which is clearly the ‘hook’ of the track” because of the “cadence.” Paul says Scott went one step further and actually change the lyrics during his GRAMMY performance to be the exact “tear da club up” lyrics on Three 6 Mafia’s song.
Listen to both tracks and see if you hear the similarities.
DJ Paul is asking for $20 million in the lawsuit but insiders told TMZ that Scott has reach out to DJ Paul to settle this out of court. With new music on the way, Scott probably wants to rectify this issue quickly. Kylie Jenner recently previewed a new song during a Kylie Cosmetics ad meanwhile a new music video for a song on the Game of Throne soundtrack is set to be released soon.
